Adobe's official pricing page lists Adobe's own Firefly models plus 30+ partner models (Google, Kling, Runway, Luma, Black Forest Labs, ElevenLabs), Generative Fill, and hooks into Photoshop, Premiere, and Express. That Creative Cloud integration is what it is genuinely good at. Adobe also markets its own models as trained on licensed and public-domain content, and in 2026 added a Creative Agent that reaches ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Slack.

The friction that sends people looking is credits on generate, not on keep. Adobe help docs say credits are deducted when you click Generate, and an unsuccessful job is typically auto-refunded within minutes (up to 24 hours for longer video). Adobe Community threads disagree in practice. One report, "Credits Are Being Deducted Even When Video Generation Fails," says no refund arrived. Another user wrote that three attempts consumed around 1,500 credits with unusable results. A Firefly discussion said the app "ignored most of the detailed prompt and returned a simple, low-quality image." Video threads cite frequent errors and "totally unusable basic video."

If you need Photoshop web, Express Premium, and Adobe Fonts on the same invoice as generation, stay on Adobe Firefly. Adobe's official pricing page lists Firefly Standard at $9.99/mo for 2,000 monthly generative credits, unlimited Generative Fill and mood boards, and up to 20 five-second premium videos. Firefly Pro is $19.99/mo for 4,000 credits, first-year unlimited on select models (Nano Banana, Flux.2 Pro), plus Photoshop web/mobile, Express Premium, and Adobe Fonts. Firefly Pro Plus is $34.97/mo promotional (regularly $49.99, 30% off through Oct 21 per that page) for 10,000 credits and first-year unlimited on all image models (1K/2K) and select video. Team Pro $19.99, Team Pro Plus $49.99, Team Premium $199.99/mo. Team credits, cents per credit, and top-ups: not published.

Pro and Ultra include fair-use unlimited image generation on selected image models (Nano Banana 2 is fair-use unlimited on Ultra).
