Runway is an AI-native creative suite for generating and editing video and images. It runs on Gen-4.5 and Aleph, plus licensed third-party models (Kling, Veo, Seedance, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Grok Imagine, Wan). Founded in 2018 by Cristóbal Valenzuela, Anastasis Germanidis and Alejandro Matamala-Ortiz, it is based in New York. A February 2026 General Atlantic-led round put the company at a $5.3EGP 283B valuation (about $860EGP 45,975M raised). Gen-4.5 has ranked at or near the top of independent video-model leaderboards, reported ahead of Veo 3 and Sora 2 Pro on Video Arena. Aleph edits existing footage in context, not only text-to-video. Paid tiers add brand kits, custom voice clones, HDR/ProRes export, and a public developer API.

The search usually starts after a bill, not a missing model. Runway's pricing page lists Standard at $15EGP 802/mo for 625 credits, Pro at $35EGP 1,871/mo for 2,250, and Max at $95EGP 5,079/mo for 9,500. A 5-second Gen-4.5 clip costs 60 credits (~$0.60EGP 32 at the Standard blended rate). Credits reset each cycle on Standard and Pro. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote that a $15EGP 802 plan buys about 10 short (5s) renders, with no rollover. Credit refunds are automatic only on a hard generation error, not on off-prompt output.

Plus 2, Pro 10, Ultra 25 kills per billing period on new plans and renewals; existing periods retain their allowance. Free allows one kill a month. Skip Elyum if your work depends on Runway's own models or production suite. There is no Gen-4.5, no Aleph, no Act-Two, no brand kits, no HDR/ProRes/image-sequence export, and no team seats. Elyum also has no timeline editor, stock footage, talking-head avatars, mobile app, or community feed. If those are the job, stay on Runway.

Pro: $35EGP 1,871/mo or $28EGP 1,497/mo yearly, 2,250 credits, 15 parallel, 5 projects, 1 brand kit, 1 voice clone, Runway MCP, unlimited 4K upscaling, 100GB. Max: $95EGP 5,079/mo or $76EGP 4,063/mo yearly, 9,500 credits with one-month rollover, 20 parallel, 10 projects, 3 brand kits, 3 voice clones, HDR/ProRes/image sequences, 500GB. Top-up blocks start at 1,000 credits and do not expire. Cents per credit is not published. The old $97EGP 5,186 Unlimited plan is closed to new subscribers.

KILL it and the refund is automatic. Runway offers Seedance 2.5 (up to 1080p) inside the same credit pool as Gen-4.5; its Seedance per-second rate is not published here.
