Facts verified2026-09-07

PixVerse V6 shipped in March 2026 with native audio. The company (PixVerse AI, formerly Ficus AI) is a China/Singapore-linked consumer studio at pixverse.ai. Short-form and anime-leaning text-to-video is the work it has been good at for years. Its own line runs V4.5 through V6, plus C1 and R1 for character consistency. Through 2026 it also licensed Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan, Nano Banana, Seedream, GPT Image, and Grok Imagine, so many people now treat it as a multi-model hub rather than a single-model app.

PixVerse Standard is $10 a month for 1,200 credits. Credits are charged per attempt. Magic Hour, Somake AI, and AtlasCloud report paid monthly credits as non-rolling, and the official pricing page returned 403 so treat the exact SKUs as high-confidence, not screenshot-verified. Free users get 90 signup credits plus 60 per day that expire at 00:00 UTC. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote they were charged for generations that completely ignored the prompt. Somake AI describes the annual plan as pre-selected by default at signup. A Google Play reviewer called the app a scam alert and said unused paid credits are removed weekly. No official written refund policy was found on PixVerse's own site.

Elyum is $9, $29, or $69 a month, or Free with up to 150 credits once (our algorithm may grant them) and no card. 1 credit is $0.01. Every render comes back as a free preview. You KEEP the takes you want (that is the only charge) or KILL the rest for a full automatic refund. Failed generations are never charged. Paid plans kill freely. Free gets one kill a month. Kept files have no watermark and include commercial use. The current grid is on pricing.

Skip Elyum if you need a timeline editor, stock footage, talking-head avatars, team seats, a community feed, or a mobile app. We do not have those. Stay on PixVerse if your workflow is V6, C1, or R1. If you already buy Seedance or Kling inside PixVerse and mainly want different billing, start from the models catalog and compare one model, not the logos.

Why people switch from PixVerse

  • Failed takes do not cost you

No official PixVerse refund or retry-credit policy was found on its own site. Trustpilot and Google Play reviewers say credits still go when the output ignores the prompt or fails. On Elyum a failed generation is never charged, and a KILL refunds the take in full (one kill a month on Free, unlimited on paid).

  • Credits that actually sit still

PixVerse free daily credits expire at 00:00 UTC. Third-party pricing guides report paid monthly credits as non-rolling. Elyum credits can be topped up, and you only spend them when you KEEP a take, so unused previews do not drain the balance.

  • Plans start at $9, not $10

PixVerse Standard is $10/mo ($8/mo yearly) for 1,200 credits, capped at 720p. Elyum Plus is $9/mo. Pro is $29/mo versus PixVerse Pro at $30/mo. Ultra is $69/mo versus PixVerse Premium at $60/mo or Ultra at $199/mo. The keep/kill mechanic matters more than the sticker when you iterate.

  • Same frontier models, listed prices

Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, and Nano Banana 2 are on both sides. On Elyum a 5s Seedance 2.5 clip at 480p is 40 credits ($0.40). PixVerse's cheapest listed example is V6 at about 25 credits for 360p, 5s, no audio.

  • Agents without a $100 API floor

PixVerse has a CLI/skills product and a separate Enterprise/API track. Third-party sources cite an Essential API tier around $100/mo for 15,000 API credits. Elyum works from the web studio or from Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor via the MCP server and a REST API.

  • No annual default at signup

Somake AI's 2026 pricing guide describes PixVerse's annual plan as pre-selected by default, which reviewers called a billing dark pattern. Elyum's listed monthly prices are Plus $9, Pro $29, and Ultra $69. Cancel-anytime monthly is the path we publish.

Where PixVerse still wins

  • PixVerse V6, C1, and R1

Those are PixVerse's own models. V6 shipped March 2026 with native audio. C1 and R1 exist for recurring-character workflows. Elyum does not offer PixVerse V6, C1, or R1. If that line is your look, switching loses the house style.

  • A real mobile app

PixVerse ships on Google Play as com.pixverseai.pixverse. Elyum has no mobile app. If you generate from a phone between shoots, PixVerse is the one that exists in your pocket.

  • Daily free credits that refill

PixVerse free tier is 90 signup credits plus 60 credits/day (watermarked, lower resolution, slower queue). Elyum Free is up to 150 credits once (our algorithm may grant them). If you want a free daily refill and can live with the watermark, PixVerse is more generous on that axis.

  • Unlimited Nano Banana 2 on Premium

PixVerse Premium ($60/mo) and Ultra ($199/mo) include unlimited Nano Banana 2 at 0 credits (official post). Elyum's fair-use unlimited for that model is Ultra ($69/mo). If 0-credit Nano Banana 2 volume is the job, stay.

What it actually costs

PixVerse Standard is $10/mo ($8/mo yearly) for 1,200 credits and up to 720p, with about 3 concurrent generations. Pro is $30/mo ($24/mo yearly) for 6,000 credits and up to 1080p/4K (source-dependent). Premium is $60/mo ($48/mo yearly) for 15,000 credits, up to 4K, about 8 concurrent jobs, and unlimited Nano Banana 2 at 0 credits. Ultra is $199/mo ($149/mo yearly) for 25,000 credits and a priority queue. Those figures come from 2026 third-party guides (Magic Hour, Somake AI, AtlasCloud), because PixVerse's own pricing page returned 403 to automated fetch.

Elyum plans are Free (up to 150 credits once (our algorithm may grant them), no card), Plus $9/mo, Pro $29/mo, and Ultra $69/mo. Credits top up. 1 credit equals $0.01. Pro and Ultra include fair-use unlimited image generation on selected image models. Listed rates already sit about 20% under Higgsfield, OpenArt, and Runway anchors. See the Nano Banana 2 card and the PixVerse vs Elyum Nano Banana 2 compare page for the live image line.

Some PixVerse complaints describe 20 to 30 attempts per usable clip, which makes the advertised per-credit price a poor predictor of finished-video cost. V6 at 360p, 5s, no audio is about 25 credits on PixVerse. On Elyum two 5s Seedance 2.5 takes at 720p are 2 × 95 credits = 190 credits ($1.90), and only KEEP is billed.

  3. Open the model you already use. If that was Kling, start on the Kling 3.0 page and match resolution and duration before you judge the take.
  4. Generate the preview. KEEP the take only if you would publish it. KILL the rest. Paid plans kill freely. Free allows one kill a month. Failed jobs are not billed.
  5. If you used PixVerse CLI or skills from an agent, point the same agent at Elyum's REST API before you buy PixVerse's third-party Essential API tier around $100/mo.
