Model price calculator

What these monthly bars compare, and what they leave out

The bars rank 32 wrapper platforms on monthly cost for the model, resolution, clip length, take count, and keep rate you set. Twenty-seven of those wrappers publish at least one per-generation rate. The rest show as unpriced. Vendor and official API prices are excluded on purpose. This is a wrapper comparison only. Plan minimums and credit expiry are also left out, so a cheap per-take number can still hide a monthly floor you would actually pay. Elyum is one studio and one credit balance across the models catalog. We do not ship a timeline editor, stock footage, avatars, a mobile app, team seats, or a community feed.

InVideo AI lists Seedance 2.0 at $0.36 per take. Elyum lists it at $0.80. Same model. Different credit tables, different plan gates, different rules for a bad render. Most wrappers bill every generation. Adobe Firefly, EaseMate AI, InVideo AI, Luma Dream Machine, and Magnific (formerly Freepik) bill failed or bad generations, per their own policy or reviews. Pika (API Club) lists Kling 3.0 at $0.34 per take against Elyum at $0.65. Per-take, InVideo AI and Pika (API Club) win.

50 takes of Seedance 2.5 at 720p and 5 seconds, with 40 percent kept (20 keeps). Elyum bills the keep at $0.95 (95 credits). The month is $19.0. Kills refund in full. Failures are not charged. Kie.ai is the cheapest of five priced wrappers at $1.57 per take and $78.8 for all 50 billed takes. The median wrapper month is $180. Listed Elyum rates run about 20 percent under the Higgsfield, OpenArt, and Runway anchors, and that cut is already in the price. Higgsfield vs Elyum for Seedance 2.5 walks the same model without the rank bars.

Live rate files drive every numbered bar. A published credit table on the wrapper is preferred over a third-party figure. Third-party figures are used when that is the only public number. Confidence labels mark which case a row is. Platforms with no published rate for the selected model stay unpriced rather than guessed. Official vendor API list prices stay excluded, even when they would undercut every wrapper bar. If a published table moved, flag the row. The bar is only as current as the rate file.

How the numbers are made

  1. 1. Start from the wrapper credit table for the selected model. No published row means the platform is unpriced and leaves the rank.
  2. 2. Convert those credits through the cheapest paid plan that can actually run the model. That produces a dollar-per-credit, then a dollar-per-take. Free-plan teaser rates are ignored.
  3. 3. Video is priced per second at the clip length and resolution you set. Image is priced per image at the selected size (1k in the image defaults).
  4. 4. If the exact resolution is unpublished, the nearest published resolution is used. No interpolated price is invented between two listed sizes.
  5. 5. Wrapper monthly cost is takes times per-take. Those platforms bill every generation in the month, including takes you would have killed.
  6. 6. Elyum monthly cost is kept takes times the live rate for that model and resolution. Kills refund. Failed generations are not charged. 1 credit equals $0.01 on the pricing page.
  7. 7. Confidence labels separate published-table rows from third-party figures. Vendor and official API prices never enter a bar.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Elyum win the monthly bill here?
Two reasons: listed rates about 20 percent under the Higgsfield, OpenArt, and Runway anchors (already in the listed price), and kills refunded so only kept takes bill. Wrappers bill every generation. Kling 3.0 at 720p, 5s, 50 takes, 40 percent kept: Pika (API Club) is $0.34 per take and $17.0 for 50 billed takes. Elyum is $0.65 per keep and $13.0 for 20 keeps. Per-take, Pika wins. Runway vs Elyum for Kling 3.0.
Are these the official model prices?
No. This calculator compares wrapper platforms only. Vendor and official API prices are excluded on purpose. A WaveSpeed AI or Kie.ai bar is a reseller rate, not an official Veo 3.1 or Kling checkout price.
How often is this updated?
Rows are computed live from the rate files. There is no separate remembered screenshot. When a wrapper publishes a new credit table, the bar moves after that file is updated. Third-party figures stay until a published table replaces them.
What counts as a kept take?
Every render comes back as a free preview (a take). You judge it, then KEEP the takes you want. That is the only moment credits are charged. KILL refunds the rest in full, automatically. A failed generation is never charged. Kills are metered on the Free plan (one kill a month). Paid plans kill freely. Kept takes download clean, full quality, no watermark, commercial use included.
Does the calculator include plan minimums or credit expiry?
No. Plan minimums and credit expiry are left out. A wrapper can look cheap per take and still require a monthly floor, or burn unused credits at the end of a cycle. Those costs do not enter the bar.
Can I share a setup?
Yes. The URL holds the model, resolution, clip length, takes per month, and share kept. Send the link and the bars resolve to the same setup.
Why can a cheaper per-take wrapper lose the month?
Most wrappers bill all 50 takes. Elyum bills the 20 you kept. WaveSpeed AI lists Veo 3.1 at $0.75 per take and $37.5 for 50 billed takes. Elyum is $1.05 per keep and $21.0 for 20 keeps. Krea lists Grok Imagine 1.5 at $0.25 per take ($12.5 for 50). Elyum is $0.30 per keep. Per-take, WaveSpeed AI and Krea win. The month flips when you kill the rest.
What does Elyum leave out that wrappers often include?
Elyum does not have a timeline editor, stock footage, avatars or talking heads of its own, a mobile app, team seats, or a community feed. Runway is the usual editor-shaped alternative. Generation from Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor uses Elyum MCP and a REST API. Start at the MCP docs.
