Artlist AI alternativeElyum, pay only for keeps
Artlist AI sells a monthly credit pile that expires unused. You only pay on Elyum after you keep a take.
Artlist AI is a stock-music-and-footage company that now sells an AI suite: 30+ third-party video, image, voice and music models behind one credit pool. Reviewers call the interface beginner-friendly, and Artlist Studio is built for multi-shot, cinematic sequences with less raw prompting. The catalog includes Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Sora 2, Hailuo 2.3 and Wan 2.6, plus Artlist Original 1.0, an in-house image model. Calcalist reported roughly $300M ARR in early 2026. If you already license Artlist music and footage, stacking AI on that same subscription is the honest pitch.
There is no standing free tier. Watermarked previews exist, but a UC Strategies review in 2026 notes a paid plan is required to license and download AI output commercially without a watermark. AI Starter starts at $15.99/mo ($13.99/mo yearly). Unused credits do not roll over. A UC Strategies reviewer wrote that advertised credit totals vanish much faster than expected, with one user burning a month's credits on three sub-5-second clips in under a day. The same review says refund requests were denied because credits had already been consumed, even when the video was never finished. Artlist AI does not document a failed-generation refund.
Elyum is one studio and one credit balance across 50+ models. 1 credit equals $0.01. Free is up to 150 credits once (our algorithm may grant them), no card. Plus $9, Pro $29 and Ultra $69 start monthly, and you can top up. Every render comes back as a free preview (a take). You KEEP the ones you want (credits leave only then) or KILL the rest for an automatic full refund. Failed generations are never charged. Paid plans kill freely; Free gets one kill a month. Kept takes download full quality, no watermark, commercial use included.
This page is not for you if you need Artlist AI's stock library, Artlist Studio's structured multi-shot workflow, or Sora 2 in the same product. Elyum has no timeline editor, no stock footage, no avatars, no mobile app, no team seats and no community feed. If those are the job, stay on Artlist AI.
Why people switch from Artlist AI
- Unused credits die every cycle
Artlist AI unused monthly credits do not roll over. A quiet month still burns the allotment. Elyum credits sit in one balance and only leave when you keep a take.
- No free commercial download
Artlist AI has no standing free tier. Watermarked trials exist, but you pay from $15.99/mo ($13.99 yearly) before a commercial, watermark-free download. Elyum Free is up to 150 credits once (our algorithm may grant them), no card.
- Bad takes still cost money
Artlist AI does not document a failed-generation refund. A UC Strategies review in 2026 says refunds were denied after credits were spent, even when the video never finished. On Elyum a failed generation is never charged, and a kill refunds the take in full.
- High-end clips empty Starter
Artlist AI can use up to about 4,000 credits for Veo 3.1 or Sora 2 Pro. Starter's full-suite pool is 16,500 a month. A few of those clips eat it. On Elyum, the Veo 3.1 page lists 720p at 21 credits/second (5s = 105 credits = $1.05).
- Frontier models Artlist AI lacks
Artlist AI lists Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1. Research did not find Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana 2 or Pro, FLUX 2 Pro, Seedream 5 Pro, MiniMax H3 or GPT Image 2. See the models catalog for Elyum's 50+ list.
Where Artlist AI still wins
- 2M+ stock already on the invoice
Artlist AI bundles generation with a licensed library of 2M+ music, SFX, footage and templates. Elyum has no stock footage. If the job is score plus B-roll plus a generated shot, Artlist AI is one vendor.
- Artlist Studio for multi-shot work
Artlist Studio is a structured, less prompt-dependent workflow for cinematic sequences. Elyum has no timeline editor. If you want guided multi-shot output more than a raw model picker, Artlist Studio is the better desk.
- Sora 2 and an in-house image model
Artlist AI lists Sora 2, Sora 2 Pro and Artlist Original 1.0. Those are not in Elyum's compared set here. If Sora or that in-house look is why you opened Artlist's video generator, stay.
- Priority queue on Professional
Artlist AI Professional is $149.99/mo ($99.99/mo yearly) with 180,000 to 1,000,000 credits and a priority generation queue. Elyum has no published priority-queue SKU and no team seats.

What it actually costs
Artlist AI Starter is $15.99/mo or $13.99/mo yearly. Credits run from 7,500 (voiceover only) to 16,500/mo for the full suite (video, image, voiceover, music). Artlist Max is $39.99/mo and bundles AI Studio credits with music, stock footage and templates. AI Professional is $149.99/mo or $99.99/mo yearly, with 180,000 to 1,000,000 credits a month and a priority queue. Unused credits do not roll over. Top-ups are not clearly documented. Example costs cited for Artlist AI: about 100 credits per image, about 300 credits for a 5-sec clip, up to about 4,000 credits for Veo 3.1 or Sora 2 Pro, and about 7,500 credits per 1.5 hours of voiceover.
Elyum plans are Free (up to 150 credits once (our algorithm may grant them), no card), Plus $9/mo, Pro $29/mo and Ultra $69/mo. 1 credit equals $0.01. You can top up. Pro and Ultra include fair-use unlimited image generation on selected image models. Listed prices already run about 20% under Higgsfield, OpenArt and Runway anchors.
Worked example on a model both sell. The Seedance 2.0 page lists Elyum 720p at 16 credits/second (5s = 80 credits = $0.80; 15s = 240 credits = $2.40). Clips are 4-15s with native audio. Artlist AI quotes a short 5-sec clip at about 300 credits and does not publish cents-per-credit, so that 300 cannot be turned into dollars from the research. On Elyum the dollar figure is on the meter before you keep. Line-by-line for that model is on Artlist vs Elyum for Seedance 2.
| Artlist AI plan | Monthly | Yearly (per month) | Credits |
