Genmo is a San Francisco lab that released Mochi 1 in October 2024 as an Apache 2.0 text-to-video model, then Mochi 1.1 as a quality refinement. As of mid-2026 that family is still the only Genmo model on Hugging Face. The hosted product at genmo.ai is a credit playground with Replay image-to-video and a ComfyUI path for people who self-host. What Genmo is genuinely good at is the open stack: no licensing fee, a simple web UI, and camera controls (pan, zoom, tilt, roll). Reviewers also praise Mochi 1's motion smoothness and temporal coherence for an open model.

Hosted Genmo is the bounce. Filmora's 2026 review calls the free tier a demo because the allowance will not cover one 100-credit Mochi video. Genmo's pricing page (fetched 2026-09-07) states 250 lifetime credits unlocked by adding a payment method, never charged. Other sources say 200 plus 50/month, or 50/month only. Lite is $10/mo for 1,200 credits (~12 Mochi videos). Clips are 480p, silent, and about 5.4 to 6 seconds with no native extension. Filmora also flags fabric-versus-wind artifacts, stiff bodies, ~12% failures on prompts over ~150 tokens, and upscaling before YouTube. No Mochi 2 has shipped. Messaging now points at video world models research.

You KEEP the takes you want (the only charge) or KILL the rest for an automatic full refund. Failed generations are never charged. Free allows one kill a month; paid plans kill freely. Kept takes have no watermark and include commercial use. 1 credit equals $0.01. The Seedance 2.5 page lists 480p at 8 credits per second, so a 5s take is 40 credits ($0.40). That is video with audio, not a 480p silent six-second cap.

This page is not for people whose whole job is fine-tuning Mochi in ComfyUI. Elyum does not ship Mochi weights, a timeline editor, stock footage, talking-head avatars, a mobile app, team seats, or a community feed. If those are the product, stay on Genmo or pair it with an NLE.

What it actually costs

Genmo Lite is $10/mo ($8/mo yearly) for 1,200 credits, about 12 Mochi videos, no watermark, commercial rights, higher queue priority. Standard is $30/mo ($25/mo yearly) for 5,000 credits, about 50 Mochi videos, highest priority, early access to new models. Monthly plan credits reset and do not appear to roll over. One Mochi 1 video is 100 credits. Replay image-to-video is 50 credits in one source and 10 in another. Cents per credit, top-ups, and an unlimited tier are not published. Those Lite and Standard dollar figures come from Filmora and toolsforhumans.ai; Genmo's own pricing page returned price-loading placeholders on the 2026-09-07 fetch.

Elyum Plus is $9/mo, Pro $29/mo, Ultra $69/mo, with optional top-ups. 1 credit equals $0.01. Pro and Ultra include fair-use unlimited image generation on selected image models. Listed rates already sit about 20% under Higgsfield, OpenArt, and the Runway alternative page anchors. On Genmo, twelve Mochi videos a month is the Lite ceiling whether you like the twelfth clip or not. A 5s 480p Seedance 2.5 take is 40 credits ($0.40). The same length at 1080p is 130 credits ($1.30). Two 480p takes price as 2 × 40 credits = 80 credits ($0.80). You pay only for KEEP.
